Further to the request by Calistemon, I have provided direct urls to the relevant Acts, eg. http://www.rps.ac.uk/search.php?action=fc&fn=charlesi_trans&id=id8564&query=&type=trans&variants=&google= Another User requested a verifiable ref regarding modern (50s, 60s, 70s) reinstatement of Christmas holiday. Duly referenced now. I have found an absolute wealth of material, especially on the post-Reformation suppression of Easter and Christmas, which is well-covered in published works. However, I would like to expand more on the pre-Reformation (Middle Ages) practices, and on the modern era practices.
