tsunami caused by the 1746 Lima-Callao earthquake destroyed the port of
Callao, killing most of its 5,000–6,000 inhabitants, and drove two warships nearly a mile inland over the ruins?
Article length and age are fine, no copyvio or plagiarism concerns, reliable sources are used. I'd only suggest replacing the word, "flattened" in the hook with "destroyed," and replacing "5–6,000 inhabitants" with "5,000–6,000 inhabitants."
