This open letter (in Persian) has come to my attention, the contents of which is deserving of being reflected in the main entry. In this letter, the film director Ms Abediān accuses Mr Gobādi of using amongst other things her research material for her documentary film "Not a Figment of Imagination" (Na Yek Tavahhom - research on this documentary began in 2002 and work on its production in 2003), which is about the life of a young Iranian musician in Tehran, in making his recent film "No One Knows About Persian Cats" (Kasi Az Gorbeh-hā-yeh Irāni Khabar Nadārad); she accuses Mr Turaj Aslāni, the Cameraman of both films, as having acted as a mole. In the letter Ms Abediān states that the fact that Mr Gobādi has succeeded in making his film in just 17 days shows the extent to which Mr Gobādi has relied on her research material, without her permission and even her prior knowledge. --BF 12:01, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
I would absolutely object to this. At this point, we know nothing more than that it is a respectable film, made to detail the lives of young musicians in a totalitarian country. We know that Iran's regime obviously does not approve of these movies being made, and is doing everything it can to taint the background of the directors, the actors and anyone else associated with this movie. Just because someone publishes an open letter does not mean that that merits mentioning. Please refrain from believeing everything you read and hear via public media, as the Iranian Intelligence agency is well aware of all the tools at its dispoval to advance its horrific cause! Hi,
According to their website and their Facebook, they romanize their name as Daarkoob. The Darkoob - Dk found in No One Knows About Persian Cats (Music from the Motion Picture) is, from my point of hearing, an edited version of Daarkoob - Torbat.
