A. Carlyle Stoney
An editor has removed builder A. Carlyle Stoney saying the article is not a biography. However, is it better to add a section about the builder rather loose this information? Or, is a better to have an article about him?

The information included was not relevant to the topic, and was also
WP:OR, including using non-reliable sources like ancestry.com. If the person is
notable in their own right, someone else can create an article about them, but if not, there is no "loss" to wikipedia by not having their personal details anywhere.

Add the following text directly under the History section: "The La Rambla Building is a two-story wood-framed
Spanish Eclectic-style commercial building, constructed in 1929, south of Ocean Avenue on Lincoln Street in
Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The building was designed by architect
Guy O. Koepp and built by Carlyle Stoney. It has shops on the ground floor and living quarters on the second floor. It has a central-
arcade passageway on the first floor.

ToadetteEdit, Why are you reverting your edits when the correct url and page numbers have been provided in the above reply? It is a simple matter of updating page numbers, right?
Greg Henderson (

Greg, much of this can be avoided if you do not submit incomplete edit requests that requires other to do further work.

I understand your point. However, my reply had the correct URL and page number. It seems silly to revert the edit. Not sure why ToadetteEdit did this. All they had to do is a copy/paste. This edit request is still OPEN.

They're also not required to approve your edit request and not prohibited from having a change of mind on the one they've once approved.

Greghenderson2006 if the editor is not satisfied that the information is sufficient, they are not required to perform it. We are all volunteers here, and yours is not a higher priority than any other edit request.

Greghenderson2006, I'd like to comment on this as well. A newer editor was fulfilling edit requests too quickly and without actually reading the sources and checking them against the requested edit. It resulted in incorrect and/or incomplete information being added to three of your articles. The problem began with you not checking your own work and citations before making a request, but rather just copy-pasting a source. This is something we have seen again and again on multiple articles. Also, it has been requested that you slow down on making so many edit requests - try to make things right the first go-around if possible. Thank you.

Partly done as I think that the provided text fits better within the lead rather than the History section. —

Antrotherkus, it seemed that you did not read the discussion above. You reinstated the wrong page number for the citation. You need to read and check citations and edit request text changes before you make a change. Or Greg, you need to close out an incorrect edit request and open a new one if your original edit request has incorrect information in it.
