This article reads like a press release written by its subject or a barely-literate flack. Maybe we should kill it. Donfbreed ( talk) 22:52, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
I am attempting a cleanup, but sadly my Greek grammar is lacking too - I have settled for replacing a lot of the instances with "prosthetics". I've also separated the text into three sections, Early life and amputation (I hate the second part of that title but can't think of anything else), Career, and Distinctions. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but doesn't it seem that in a _biographical_ article, at the very least, a date of birth should be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.232.24.70 ( talk) 05:18, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Armes is said to be Hispanic, but seems to have ancestors from several parts of Europe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.254.83 ( talk) 12:14, 5 May 2010 (UTC) He seems to be about half English and half Spanish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.254.83 ( talk) 10:23, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
The phrase "alloy steel" appears in the article. This is common in America. As all forms of steel could be viewed as alloys of iron and carbon, the word "alloy" is not needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.149.117.81 ( talk) 13:47, 18 May 2010 (UTC) See Steel, which implies that all forms of steel are alloys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.149.117.81 ( talk) 13:52, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Mr.Armes' page was vandalized for reasons that were in fact in the media. I would like an admin to please protect it if possible. I am open to discuss this situation. I am in personal contact with him, so if there is anything needed to validate this, please feel free to contact me for that arrangement. -- Truth Mom ( talk) 02:05, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

The top of the page has 12/8/1932. At the bottom of the page, 1938 is mentioned. IMDB has 12/8/1939. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.27.109.117 ( talk) 15:02, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
I am glancing over this today and I see absolutely no mention at all of the prosthetic hands he uses or the variations he has used. Were it not for the photo there would be no way of telling this from the article. I thought there once was an entry on them but there is not now. Vandalism?
