Is there a difference between a plunger motor and a piston motor? Biscuittin ( talk) 09:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
why hyd. motor have provided drain line? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.95.79.141 ( talk) 11:54, 5 January 2009 (UTC) Not all hydraulic motors require a drain. The drain lets the fluid that gets past the seals lubricate the motor internals and then exit the motor case at low pressure so it does not blow out the shaft seals. Motors working in only one direction usually hook the drain to the low pressure side of the motor internally and have no external drain. Many motors use a pair of built in check valves that allow the case to drain to whichever main port is at the lowest pressure. 63.124.6.56 ( talk) 19:07, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Can vane/plunger type pneumatic motors be converted to run on hydraulic pressure instead of air.If so what does it take to convert one to do so? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.20.152.4 ( talk) 05:08, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I came to this page looking for the efficiency of hydraulic motors. It seems to me that any article on a device that converts energy should inform about the efficiency of various designs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.25.248.185 ( talk) 18:18, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Reference 1 seems to be accessed before it was updated/created, this seems odd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.24.85.178 ( talk) 12:25, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Not sure on how to post this but: Link to fiu.edu with allstar. subdomain returns "comming soon" regardless of URL after .edu — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.225.54.72 ( talk) 17:29, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
