I was doing my family tree and came across an Ernest Idiens from Lapley, Staffordshire. He was the star of Australia Calls (1923 film) He came back to the UK to promote the film and returned on in February 1924 in the company of a Mr C Chaplin. This is on official ship logs. Could the story and tales have inspired "Gold Rush". Was this Chaplin fact finding? Can you corroborate this voyage? I'd love to have the page creator's email.
