Image:Monbeaucheval.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'd be inclined to agree about merging them - the song, although iconic in its own right at this point, is still part of the episode - merge the My Lovely Horse article into the section within this article and trim some of the fat. Mdb23b ( talk) 13:12, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
Removed "* Father Ted calls Ice-T "Icy T" and refers to "Snoopy Snoopy Dogg Dogg"." from goofs as this is clearly a deliberate mistake and not a goof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.32.156 ( talk) 11:19, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
The article stated that the song by "The Bowsie Boys" is titled: "Liam takes it up the ass from an englishman "
Pausing a recording - made when the episode was broadcast in Britain on "More 4" at 23:40 on Sunday June 22nd, 2008 - shows the title to be the less graphic phrase: "You Dirty English Bastards".
Were there multiple versions recorded of this scene, or is this a Wikipedia-specific joke that I'm not in on ?

Removed the YouTube link to the video of "That's What Friends are For" by The Swarbriggs:
as it gives the YouTube error message:
"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

When Dougal plays the single, there are lyrics audible - presumably in Norwegian. Has any English translation been published ?
I'm guessing there is a joke in there - the obvious one being some version of: "if you can understand these lyrics, you are paying too much attention". :)

The fiasco echoes an episode of the Father Ted television series
Surely Father Benny Cake is a joke about Billie Currie (Curry) of Ultravox, not Midge. 2601:1C2:1B7F:E590:E9CA:5F1F:45E9:11AA ( talk) 17:32, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
