A fact from Victor Jacob Koningsberger appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 27 June 2024 (

The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as
this nomination's talk page,
the article's talk page or
Wikipedia talk:Did you know), unless there is consensus to re-open the discussion at this page. No further edits should be made to this page.
Policy-compliant: yes. Well-written, covers the subject well, reliably sourced, no issues with the text or the image licenses. The sources are almost entirely in Dutch, but Earwig finds no problems in English-language sources.
QPQ: done.
Hook: It tells a compelling story, and the actual words of his speech are clearly sourced.
Other comments: Thank you for an interesting article on a person whose story is important to tell. I made a few minor copyedits to the page. This hook is almost good to go. Before I clear it, I want to check about some of the blue-linking on the page. I think some of the links in the lead section are linked again lower on the page, so I'd like to have the nominator have a chance to check the page once more for (1) any overlinking, and (2) whether there might be any new links to add. I'm not seeing any other issues. --

Hi
Tryptofish. Per
WP:DL, links may be duplicated in different sections where necessary to establish context. For example, today's FA,
The Spider (magazine), links competing publications and the author in the lede and on first mention in the text. As for other links, I didn't see any that seemed to be contextually relevant and likely to have an article. Blauw doesn't have an article even in Dutch. The sugar station might warrant an article at some point, given how big it seems to have been, but I'd have to see how much is available about it. —

OK, then, it's good to go. --
