Where do these requirements for autonomous ground vehicles come from? They seem completely arbitrary and somewhat unrealistic, such as "Work for months or years without human intervention"

Beyond doubt, Unmanned ground vehicle are being used against Land mines. The article has nothing about this fact. Agre22 ( talk) 00:18, 4 October 2009 (UTC)agre22
Why does the very first paragraph of this article explicitly say these are military robots? Generally, this is the case, but it is definitely not a requirement to be classified as a UGV.
