I wrote the article with the sources in Japanese. Please add information with English/US military sources.-- Mochi 02:22, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
I've renamed this article from Government of the Ryukyu Islands to Government of the Ryūkyū Islands in accordance with the guidelines in the Manual of Style for Japanese articles. Bobo12345 11:56, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands is a part of Ryukyu administration controled by the US. Government of the Ryukyu Islands is another part of Ryukyu administration organied by the locals. So we should change the article name to "Administration of Ryukyu by the US", or something. Japanese term for "琉球政府 (Government of the Ryukyu Islands)" often include whole the administration both by the US and the locals.-- Mochi ( talk) 13:24, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
What were the roles of the high commissioner, chief executive, and civil administrator? ZFT ( talk) 21:34, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
There has evidently been some fundamental confusion in creating this article about the difference between 琉球政府 and USCAR. They are two different bodies. Separating as best as possible. Bueller 007 ( talk) 10:59, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
