This article really needs a citation or two. It seems pretty weak. -- Mother Superior 01:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
I followed this link from the "ansible" page. I've never heard of "ultrawave". I don't think these should be combined, because ansible is a specific science fiction literature term, used especially in work by Ursula K. LeGuin. It's not just about the concept of FTL communication in general.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Emil Volcheck ( talk • contribs) 00:43, 21 April 2008
DocumentN, I disagree with what you said as it applies to the "Ansible" article. The first paragraph ("origin") describes the first use of "Ansible", the second ("Usage") states many authors who have used the specific name, and a few sentences of other (non-"ansible") uses, followed by discussion of two examples (LeGuin and Card). After that ("in reality") is a little non-specific discussion. However, the Ultrawave article, in itself, is pretty weak. I can see a couple of sentences from that being put into the Ansible article and the Ultrawave article deleted. Not so much a "merger" as an "acquisition." :D CatherS ( talk) 04:31, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
I was going to AfD it now but https://sf-encyclopedia.com/entry/ultrawave . Ping User:TompaDompa, User:Daranios. Rescuable or redirectable...? Merge to Ansible is an option (well, redirect and add something there, since no refs here mean nothing to actually merge...). -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:33, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
