Don't you think we could add something 'bout the 1st chapter giveaway from the Demigod Files? -- Tatlolou ( talk) 21:52, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Tatlolou
Well, not sure about it. Haven't read TDF myself yet, I haven't even read book 4 yet.(only got the money for the PBK books, and that's coming April). What are you going to add? Could you possibly describe it? -- Mktsay123 ( talk) 16:08, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, all their really is, is that Beckendorf comes to get Percy for the war, and Rachel kisses Percy. But then Beckendorf teases him, and threatens to tell Annabeth. -- Tatlolou ( talk) 20:24, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Tatlolou
I wonder what we can do when preview and known facts aren't allowed? Wait for the book? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mktsay123 ( talk • contribs) 09:03, 11 March, 2009 (UTC)
While I don't think that most of the information that Rick Riordan has been placing on his Camp Half-Blood Twitter Account is acceptable for this article (because Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information), I think that the fact that he has a Twitter would be a good note for the article, as it's a rather unique marketing technique. Would a one-liner in the introduction be appropriate? I can't see an entire Marketing section being created unless we had some more information to put into it, and I'm not too familiar with any other forms they've been using. Comments/ideas? DreamHaze ( talk) 22:31, 19 March 2009 (UTC)hi
I think it might be a good idea. I personally read all the facts. If you want to add them, read the rules first. If that allows it, then it would be a great thing to add. -- Tatlolou ( talk) 02:42, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Tatlolou
Okay, in 20 minutes or so, the book will begin shipping. Remember, all edits added to plot that does not use cite book or a source that talks about the plot will quickly be reverted. This article will also be receiving a lot of anon edits tomorrow. Keep a sharp eye out for vandalism.--( NGG) 03:42, 5 May 2009 (UTC) Does anyone have a book yet? I wont get mine for a few days, so I cant help until then...-- Tatlolou ( talk) 11:09, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Tatlolou
I should have the book in a day or too. I just got an alert that it shipped cause I bought online. I'll help as soon as I can!-- Tatlolou ( talk) 21:18, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Tatlolou
About the citations, I think we should be a bit more specific then saying it's from the book and adding "1", "2",... Coolzak ( talk) 02:55, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I assume the plot bloat has been done. Now it's time to condense. Before that, is all the information on the page now geniune? Just checking. I'll post my draft of the condensed version here once I'm done.-- Mktsay123 ( talk) 04:27, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree with condensing the plot, and think we should start putting in some reviews. Coolzak ( talk) 21:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay, can you folks please read the following in the plot? The following paragraph is pulled DIRECTLY from the plot page on Wikipedia.
Percy then finds out that Blackjack, his black pegasus, was taken by Rachel. Percy and Annabeth get a ride from Rainbow, the friendly hippocampus who belongs to Percy's brother, Tyson. Both Percy and Annabeth arrive at Camp Half-Blood and discover that Rachel has flown over the magical barriers of the camp using Blackjack. The two find Rachel in the attic of the oracle. Percy tries to stop her, thinking that Hades' curse is still in effect, but Chiron stops him. Apollo appears and does the preparations for Rachel. The spirit of the oracle passes into Rachel and she becomes the new Oracle. Unexpectedly she makes a prophecy, and although Annabeth and Percy worry it may be the next Great Prophecy, Apollo says that the last one took seventy years to complete and this one may not even happen in their lifetime. Later that night, funeral processions are passed to the those of the defeated campers. Percy and Annabeth privately celebrate Percy's birthday, and Annabeth brings up the subject as to why Percy denied Zeus's offer to make him a god. Percy hints that it was because he wanted to be close to Annabeth, and Annabeth kisses him. The campers bother Percy, who then has the campers carry him and Annabeth to the river, and they are thrown in. (Percy, however, continues kissing her in an underwater bubble). After that, there is a graphic sex scene underwater, where Percy and Annabeth reach godlike orgasms.
Everyone read that last line? Good. Because, last time I checked in the story, this never happened. This is a children's book, and someone is screwing around with wiki again.
Merely felt it was necessary to bring this to your attention. Can soemone please take care of this?

The plot summary in this article is really bad guys. Any chance of getting it written from a "this is what the book is about" perspective, rather than a "this is a summary of what happens in each chapter" perspective. I'd do it myself but I've never read this book, and the alleged plot summary is so rambly that I can't work out how to cut it down. Elen of the Roads ( talk) 01:13, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga, commented on the book series:
"Hope you all are having a great summer so far! If you're looking for some beach reading, you might try Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series if you haven't already. My son finally finished book five yesterday so I could read it today. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. I tip my hat to you, Mr. Riordan!"

Not sure what anyone else thinks, but is that section really necessary? I understand having the heading with a link to the main list of PJ characters, but is it actually necessary to list which ones are major? I'm just wondering what opinions other people have. Thanks! PrincessofLlyr ( talk) 20:04, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
I am of the opinion that the current plot summary has too much detail for near the end of the book, but not enough for the beginning. I'm going to be bold and revamp it a bit. Doin' Huh 3.5 21:26, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
I`ve been searching on the internet to see if this book won any awards, but I cannot find anything on this subject. Does anyone know if this book won any awards? ~ Alec scheat ( talk) 23:44, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Is the section on the Lost Hero really necessary? It is about Camp Half-Blood, but not about The Last Olympian itself. I was going to remove it, but then figured that this should reflect consensus. pluma ( talk) 01:31, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
This sentence doesn't really make sense:

Since this has recently been changed (from 18 to 23, and back again) several times, can we have a vote on the age which should be listed for the character Luke Castellan in this article?
