Lodovico Rocca wrote an opera based on The Dybbuk. A piece about it: Olin Downes, "NEW YORK 'DYBBUK' PREMIERE", New York Times, May 10, 1936. p. X5. - Jmabel | Talk 07:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
This article suggests that the play was put on at the Yiddish Art Theater in 1921 or so, but according to the NY Times, that theatre wasn't created until 1926 ( http://movies.nytimes.com/person/110482/Maurice-Schwartz). -- Brian Z ( talk) 16:51, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
