Since science and maths is already in english EST becomes 'obsolete'(im not sure how to put it) for those taking SPM in 2008 because it is not taught in classes though it can be taken as an extra subject for those trying to get that extra A1 though i'm not sure how it would fare due to the fact of the 12 subjects limitation Asarhapi 16:25, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
You are totally wrong, EST is still tought in classes and there's even an EST textbook, EST is not obsulute subject
Ok EST is now an elective because some schools take Chinese and now they have Pendidikan SIvil dan Kewarganegaraan next year.(

I think this article should incorporate some information about the SPM Open Certification system as well. However, I am not that well informed about this since I last took the exam in 1991. Can any younger editors contribute? - Bob K | Talk 15:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
