Less smoke an advantage?

The article states that shimose did not produce a lot of smoke, and that this was an advantage. I do not see how. Less smoke is an advantage in propellants, but shimose was an explosive filler - smoke is probably an advantage for fillers, since it facilitates the identification of hits. -- Marinebanker ( talk) 16:41, 11 February 2018 (UTC) reply
