My client, Nasdaq Private Market, has asked me because it appears this page is connected to SecondMarket Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by Nasdaq Private Market in October 2015 (Source: https://techcrunch.com/2015/10/22/nasdaq-acquires-secondmarket-to-help-startups-sell-shares/) and therefore has the wrong founding date, founder and product lines listed.
Is there a way to either remove these or transfer them to a separate page for SecondMarket Solutions, Inc. (which is no longer incorporated)?
If so, I would propose the following edits to this page:
Nasdaq Private Market is an American SaaS company that provides liquidity solutions to private companies and investment funds. Nasdaq Private Market is a subsidiary of Nasdaq, LLC and is based in New York, NY. [1]
In October 2015, Nasdaq Private market acquired SecondMarket Solutions, Inc. in a joint-venture with SharePost.
History Nasdaq Private Market was formed in 2013 to provide private companies with the tools and resources to raise capital, control secondary transactions, and manage their equity-related functions. [2]
The company acquired SecondMarket Solutions, Inc. a platform for trading shares of private company stock and competitor of Nasdaq Private Market, in 2012. (source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-22/silbert-s-secondmarket-joins-greifeld-s-private-market-in-deal) Since 2013, the combined Nasdaq Private Market and SecondMarket have facilitated $18.5 billion in private company secondary volume. [3]
Services Nasdaq Private Market offers private companies a platform for organizing controlled secondary liquidity events for shareholders in the form of tender offers or share buybacks. The company also facilitates Rule 701 disclosure and option management. [4]
In 2017, Nasdaq Private Market launched Alternatives, a similar liquidity solution for private investment funds to allow fund managers to organized controlled liquidity events for their shareholders. [5]
