I think the idea of a sortable table would be nice, so that we could sort by enterance# or elimination#. Im gonna build one and see what its like and post it here LessThanClippers ( talk) 22:09, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
By using this table, we can look at Order of entrance, order of elimination, or easily see how many people were eliminated by a superstar, or who spent the most time in the rumble....

Considering there should be uniformity for all Royal Rumble Matches... I posted this to the project page, and think we should continue the discussion
there.

I know this is a bit of a hard one to call but I think that Finlay and Hornswoggle should count as being eliminated in terms of having a number. Finlay was eliminated via DQ/by himself and Hornswoggle left, in essence eliminating himself. This will leave John as the only one without an eliminated number and show the order at what point they left. I can understand not wanting too though, but I think it'd be better for uniformity if it's only the winner who doesn't get a number.

Elmination 15 is still missing from the table unless I'm a bit backwards. I also think Finlay&Horn should be numbered because they were eliminated, via DQ or no they were no longer contenders. If nothing else, it would help to show when they left the Rumble in context to everyone else. Tony2Times ( talk) 23:43, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Can we clear something up? Some people seem to think that Finlay was disqualified for using a weapon, however, this is inconsistent considering The Sandman used his signature cane last year without punishment. I think that the actual reason that Finlay was disqualified was for entering at the wrong time... even the commentators touched upon this theory more than the weapon idea. However, references need to be in writing, so if anyone can find a source confirming this, it would help. User:Rick 50000 ( talk) 23:35, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
It should be mentioed that Kane has made the most eliminations in a royal rumble —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.245.249.238 ( talk • contribs)
In the first paragraph it was mentioned that as traditional the winner gets to face the champion of his choice at WrestleMania. It should mention that John Cena has decided to use his championship shot at a different pay per view —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.245.249.238 ( talk • contribs)
I've been trying to make a change in the sortable table because Roddy Piper's elimination number appears blue-linked and as "08," whereas the elimination numbers of the other contestants are not blue-linked and (in the cases of numbers below 10) appear without the "0" to the left. My edits, however, keep being reverted by different users (so far iMatthew and Truco9311). Why is this so?-- Andresg770 ( talk) 17:44, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Should it be noted in the aftermath that Ric Flair won by disqualification against MVP the following Smackdown in a rematch that was career threatening? Also should we put the Mr. Kennedy-Flair match for No Way Out or should we wait a little longer? Derrty2033 Y0! Guest 04:40, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Now as much as I'd love to forget the fact that he was even there, Mike Adamle made his hideous debut at the Rumble and although he wasn't a ring announcer or commentator, should he not feature in the other onscreen talent box, although I don't know what his role would be, nor am I particularly good with boxes otherwise I would have edited it myself. It should be noted that the 2008 Royal Rumble Match is being nominated for a 2008 Match of the Year award for this year's WWE Slammy Awards. -- Mmr30 ( talk) 11:38, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
In the article it mentions that the winner of the Rumble match could choose between the WWE Title, the World Heavyweight Title or the ECW Title as far as which Title they challenge for at Mania. I don't remember the ECW Title ever being mentioned as being one of the Title options during the build up to this show nor on the PPV itself. Also the ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero was in this Rumble match. So how could the ECW Title be one of the options for Mania if the Champion was in the Rumble? I think this should be corrected unless someone can provide a source that verifies it was specifically mentioned that the winner of the Rumble could choose the ECW Title shot at Mania if they wanted to.
