There probably is a psychedelic metal genre, but the sources that cover this would be spotty and probably nothing besides a playlist website (like Spotify) or one or two news article. Therefore, this disambiguation makes the most sense. If you have sources, and that is a BIG IF, then you could start the page, otherwise, the page as it is is the best we can do.
