I've split these articles up. Despite their nearly identical titles, Pitfall II as an arcade game has a different developer. Any cursory view of a youtube play through will show that these are distinct games, with new game play elements (discussed in the article) and completely different level design. It is not a direct port and the reception of the game notes how different they are from the original titles.
