The result of the move request was: Moved to Pensacola metropolitan area Mike Cline ( talk) 12:45, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area →
Pensacola metropolitan area – This is the much more common name for the subject than the awkward Census designation "Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area".
"Pensacola metropolitan area" returns 713 Google Books hits, plus another 54 for
"Pensacola metro area", compared to only 12 for
"Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area". Eschewing the constructed Census designation for a descriptive title is much more natural and concise, and is in keeping with related articles on metropolitan areas such as
Jacksonville metropolitan area,
Miami metropolitan area,
Tallahassee metropolitan area, etc.--

Clarification: The preferred article title for metropolitan areas is the article title of the principal city with the lower-case words " metropolitan area" appended. Please see the List of metropolitan areas of the United States. Yours aye, Buaidh 17:45, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
