Based on the history of the Mangiarotti family posted on the website of the Circolo della Spada Mangiarotti (
http://www.mangiarotti-scherma.it/default.asp?Szn=Mangiarotti) it appears that the Olympics of Grace included an event for individual Women's Fencing. At that point in time it seems likely the event was in Women's Foil. Rosetta Pirola, the wife of Giuseppe Mangiarotti, and mother of Edoardo Mangiarotti, is reported to have won the event.
