I'm not that well versed in the Monster Hunter franchise, but from what I've gathered, the team behind Monster Hunter 4 (the main series) is behind this, which would imply it's the first main title in the next generation (whereas Generations/X and XX are still from the 4th generation). Can Monster Hunter fans explain what defines a mainline Monster Hunter and why this one is a spinoff, platform bias and local co-op aside (since up to Tri, it didn't have local co-op)? I should be getting my copy soon but GI will usually post these stories soon too. -- MASEM ( t) 14:33, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
The article says it is an open world game, yet it is not part of the open world video games category. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalheadgamer ( talk • contribs) 03:36, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

I was thinking we should merge the Iceborne expansion page into this, as the Sunbreak expansion of Rise doesn't have a separate page. What do y'all think? SirGamers ( talk) 15:25, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
