"The name Sushen, which is rendered 肅愼 but pronounced Mishihase or Ashihase in Japanese, can also be found in Japanese documents." -- I am assuming this is supposed to say that it was found in Chinese documents, where it was pronounced Sushen, whereas the Japanese readings of the same compound were Mishihase and Ashihase. But I'm not sure enough to actually change this. Anyone else think this should say "Chinese"? 24.159.255.29 01:32, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
This should be removed I believe. After reading the stub on the Nivkh People it seems the Nivkh suffered from invading or migrating Tunghu People, thus if the Mishihase/Mishiwase was of the Okhotsk Culture they would have spoken a version of the Nivkh lingustical isolate not a Tungusic language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.226.138.39 ( talk) 21:29, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
