Why does this person warrant an entry in English Wikipedia?
As much as I personally liked the subject of this article, she is unlikely to be known widely enough outside Japan to warrant an article in English Wikipedia. To wit: Not one cited reference is sourced from an English-speaking country.

I think you misunderstand my comment: “Not one cited reference is sourced from an English-speaking country” was meant to illustrate that the subject is not widely known in English-speaking countries, not to imply that any of the sources is invalid because it’s not in English. But it’s funny you should mention that: one reason I stopped actively contributing to Wikipedia is because I got tired of having my work deleted on grounds that it was based on a non-English source. That be it as it may: This looks to me like just another vanity article by some Japanophile who thinks anything and everything to do with Japan deserved an English Wikipedia article. What is it about this person that does? If not, it ought get zapped.
