A fact from Knocker (radio series) appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 September 2008, and was viewed approximately 1,304 times (
disclaimer) (
check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the episodes of the
BBC 7sitcomKnocker have titles such as "Privinvasionacy", "Obselejectivitysence" and "Confidentialitydence"?
"She even suggests to Ian that he should break the rules - the but Ian consider breaking the Market Research Code of Conduct too much, and therefore something he would never do, even if it would make his job easier."
I'm still having trouble with these two sentences:
"While Ian believes [he] is trying to be kind to her, actually [she] just wants him to get as many responses to his surveys as he possibly can. She even suggests to Ian that he should break the rules - but Ian considers breaking the Market Research Code of Conduct [...] something he would never do, even if it would make his job easier."
Does that mean:
(1) Ian believes he is trying to be kind to Mary
(2) but Mary wants lots of responses
(3) Mary suggests breaking the rules (violating the Market Research Code of Conduct)
