I think that Kanagawa is the only prefecture in Japan that doesn't have any recent mergers as of 1999 or 2000, excluding the mergers of its municipalities since the prefecture's inception or founding. jlog3000 ( talk) 14:26, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Huge jumps in numbers but small percentages, example: 1960 3,443,176 +3.35% 1965 4,430,743 +5.17%
