French navy

Why is the paragraph about French naval vessels in this article about certain Japanese ships? If there is a connection, it should be made clear. As it is, we don't know if they were built in Japan, bought from France, resembled the Japanese ships, or what.-- Piledhigheranddeeper ( talk) 23:46, 12 November 2008 (UTC) reply

As clearly stated in the article, 12 ships of this same class of vessel were built in Japan for the French Navy. I will add a few words to try to make this even more explicit. -- MChew ( talk) 00:54, 13 November 2008 (UTC) reply

Naming of Shipyards

My understanding is as follows:

The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries name did not exist in 1914 (Should be ??Mitsubishi Shipyards??) The Kawasaki Shipbuilding name did not exist in 1914 (Should be Kawasaki Dockyard Co.) Lǐshìmǎn ( talk) 02:22, 30 January 2024 (UTC) reply
