Dear Nique,
Please accept my aplogy for editing without reading your edit summaries.
I am new to Wikipedia and don't know how to use this very much. I understand your definition of nickname and it has being used, however "Bakahishi"is never been used as regular nickname rather a excuse/reasoning by his close friends when he does something foolish. Nontheless we hear less being used recently to respect Mr. Akanishi.
I understand if it is noted as a trivia but it seems little unfair to be announced to the world as "fool" for someone trying to study and challenge at his best.
In my understanding, nickname should be something close friends uses on regular basis with affection. In his case "Jin", "Akanishi", "Akanihi-kun", or "Jin-kun"
I would appreciate if you could consider this.
Thank you.

Hello, I rewrote the entire article, because 1. Tokyo. Birthplace was missing. 2. Profile. Add the information into the rest of the article or cut it, when it's trivia. (His favourite colours, favourite season, etc. is not appropriate for an encyclopaedia). 3. Information on KAT-TUN belongs into KAT-TUN's article, not into Jin's. 4. ::"Akanishi in particular was ranked # 1 as the most wanted lover, most sexy and idol in Japan according to a popular poll taken by DUET magazine in":: -> that's not encyclopaedic 5. Trivia is discouraged by Wikipedia.

Technically I would argue that encyclopaedic information by defintion includes information that provides info regarding the subject matter that can be verified. This would include awards or distinguishments that have been earned by the subject matter and as such, I should think that Akanishi being distinguished in Japan by a national magazine as #1 in whatever category would be characterized as encyclopaedic information. Otherwise, people would be removing any distinguishments such as People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, or #1 ranking on Oricon charts (which are, in essence, the same the magazine ranking since it is merely another contest formed by another company. It just so happens that the Oricon charts relate to the music industry. If you were to argue that Duet magazine does not count as a "real" award, you might as well say that Oricon also does not count since it is simply another arbitary music poll). Other than that, it's great that you're organizing the page!

I question the need for a Popularity section, especially when most Johnny's idols don't have one. Just a suggestion, to standardize the articles. Fiora the dragon ( talk) 09:04, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
