I find the recognition of the Western Sahara claim to be hooky enough, perhaps adding a subsequent clause to the hooks dilutes the impact of this change. The hooks could use a link to
Political status of Western Sahara. That said, the article is not in great shape. It's a poorly organised stub, and needs to be reworked and could use a bit more expansion. The source used for the Western Sahara recognition doesn't mention the topic.

This is written after Israeli-American visit on 22 December where "a number of low-level cooperation agreements" were signed and says:
Rabat does not view its agreement to normalize ties with Israel, brokered by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this month, as part of the Abraham Accords. Explaining its refusal to sign a normalization agreement with Israel, Morocco said it already had overt diplomatic relations with Israel in the past.
Brookings described it on 14 December as a "qualified normalization of ties".
Could be we are getting a little bit ahead of the curve here (same thing happened with Sudan agreement). So maybe an agreement to normalize ties in the future is more correct? Selfstudier ( talk) 20:53, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
:Don't know how to explain but I think Morocco's normalisation with Israel is actually a serious fact. Few days earlier, Israeli officials visited Rabat openly to open commercial flights between Israel and Morocco. So I think they have largely normalised relations, not about development there.

:::I think it's not a problem. It's the same case between Israel and Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan has not opened an embassy in Israel but two countries still maintain relations openly. Morocco basically falls to the category like of Azerbaijan.

::::::Even with Haaretz journalists and other experts voiced skepticism (and I do understand they've reasons), the process has been done. But still, there is one thing I agree, Morocco will not go forward to establish tie so quickly as long as they have to deal with pro-Palestinian segments in the country. I think it would take time. About the Israelis, I think they are willing more than that.

"Morocco was formally at war with Israel." This is untrue. A country cannot be "formally at war" with a country it does not recognise. Constant Pedant ( talk) 03:48, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
