Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Kurds in Iran's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

So, I prematurely changed the majority religion to Sunni Islam because I genuinely believed that was true. Nonetheless, two of the three references for Shia Islam being the largest denomination are problemic: One is dead (ghatreh.com) and the second one is an interview of an International affairs expert who sounds like a regime parrot ("The separatist Kurds do not represent the majority of Iraqi Kurds"). Not sure how reliable he is.
Contrarily, through a quick look, we have:
If no one objects to it, I believe the infobox should state that Sunni Islam is the majority religion among these Kurds. -- Semsûrî ( talk) 19:13, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

The Ardalan tribe is one of the largest Kurdish tribes by population and yet, is missing from this list. We are descendants of the Ardalan vassaldom and are situated largely in the Kordestan Province and especially surrounding the provincial capital city of Sanandaj all the way to Marivan and onwards towards Sulaymaniyah in Iraq. Many people from Sananadaj identify as Ardalan Kurds even though they are often confused with neighbouring Jaff Kurds. Please add a box for Ardalans if you can, thank you. We are still a contemporary tribe of Kurdish people today. 134.153.196.184 ( talk) 19:16, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi, the following tribes need to be added to this list. Please see this link: http://www.zazaki.net/haber/the-kurds-in-khorasan,-north-east-of-iran-1376.htm
This data is more inclusive of the Khorasan Kurds and new pages need to be created for the main tribes mentioned. I have more resources on the Zafaranlu and Topkanlu tribes. Please reach out if you need that information. Zafaranlu ( talk) 18:43, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
