The section on deliberate false statements needs to stay. It establishes a predominant personality trait and references have been cited for the same.
With reference to my previous comments and changs as given on the Talk Page of Gen Ayub Khan, father of the subject of this article, I am also proposing to amend the origins of Gohar Ayub Khan to add 'Pakistani people of Afghan descent'. Id be glad to discuss this here if so required, thnk you. 39.54.109.10 ( talk) 03:33, 12 March 2012 (UTC)HP Gupta
Please don't bother. Its like saying let's have addition to every Indian person's origin as 'Indian of Hindu descent'. Its absurd to suggest what you've written above. Pakistan is a new name for a region comprising of South Asia (Kashmir, Punjab, Sindh), Central Asia (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/NWFP) and Middle East (Balochistan). The Afghans of Pakistan are themselves fully fledged Afghans not just mere descendents living mainly in what is the former Eastern Afghanistan which was turned into NWFP in 1901 as a result of Durand Line agreement between the British and the Amir of Afghanistan - the people were not consulted on either side of the border line. The second letter A in the name Pakistan stands for Afghania as Pakistan is a multi-ethnic state with regions where specific ethnicities predominate as do the Pashtuns (Afghans)in KPK.
