Dear helpful fellow editors,
I was recently improving the article on
Frédéric Devreese and noticed that he had won the Georges Delerue Award, for which there was no article here at the en.Wiki. But, since there is one at the German Wiki (
de:Georges Delerue Award), I translated and expanded it into the following draft:
User:Pdebee/Georges Delerue Award. That bit was easy.
However, since this is the first article I created about an award, I realized I also needed to create its network of categories (they don't currently exist), which is something I have never done before. Therefore, I looked at the article on another film composer (
John Williams) and, sure enough, it has a category:
which I took as an example and adapted into:
and also created a parent category for it, in:
Based on this John Williams example, it seemed clear to me that we needed a category for both the award itself and for its winners; I therefore hope to have drafted their respective categories & parent categories appropriately.
However, since it is the first time I am creating categories for an award article, please would someone kindly review the
#Checklist I created in the section above, and offer advice? Please also feel free to change the contents of the checklist as you deem necessary or appropriate. Once this is done, I will simply work my way through the checklist and create these pages.
Very many thanks in anticipation!
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ

Dear
Primefac,
I've executed most of the tasks in the checklist for now; so, the article and the two categories are now in main article space. I have also added a ToDo for finding new citations for 2007->2013 and 2016, which I will carry out soon, probably tomorrow morning. The remaining tasks of creating templates are less urgent but will probably be done at the same time, unless another editor beats me to it. I hope the article will be deemed good enough for now and won't get nominated for PROD or AfD...
Thank you once again for your helpful advice, as always!
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ
