Since the fart term "raspberry" - and a commercial variant "Razzberry" - already occur in the text, it might be useful to add somewhere the explanation that this term, now used more often for an oral or artifactual imitation rather than for the anal eructation itself, is in origin the "Cockney" rhyming slang expression "raspberry [tart]" = fart. (In everyday use the second, rhyming element of such expressions is normally unstated). 87.81.230.195 ( talk) 18:28, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Not that I have the technical skill to do it well, but someone really should note in the history section that the world's oldest joke on record is (naturally) a fart joke. The claim about Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine is not supported by the source and is also inaccurate RE the length of their marriage. Removed. 194.168.209.170 ( talk) 01:10, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
This passage seems, to me, to be presented without context: //Assigning blame to another can backfire: a joke about royalty has the Queen emitting flatulence, and then turning to a nearby page, exclaiming, "Arthur, stop that!" The page replies, "Yes, Your Majesty. Which way did it go?"https://
