Possible arguments against (sources needed)
Development of antibiotic resistant bacteria in animals given antibiotics to promote growth
Removes risk of transmission of disease to humans from animals (viruses etc).
Greatly lessened risk of food poisoning from meat and animal products

Yes, what I mean is we need is a source that points this out as an advantage of a vegetarian/vegan diet.

But it's NOT an advantage, you're just straw-grasping for anything that makes your argument look validated. You may as well argue that, since potatoes can be poisonous if left to sit too long, it's advantageous to only eat meat.

Eating animals having more legs is thought to be worse.
This isn't very clear. More legs than what and worse than what?

It is explained by "eating mammals is worse than eating chickens or fish".

"they pace Montaigne"?
What does that mean? Is it a typo? I can't make any sense of it...

Makes no sense at all. The quote is taken from an obscure paper by Justin Leiber in 1988
[1]. I doubt the user that originally added this paper read the paper, they may have copied it from Daniel Dennett who probably got the quote wrong
[2]. If you search online for this quote, the only hits you get are from Daniel Dennett who has put the quote in many of his publications. It is a cherry-picked quote missing various bits of text. I would be interested in knowing what Leiber really said. Unfortunately I don't have access to his 1988 paper. It's might be worth asking someone that has access to it so we can fact check the source.
