It seems like there is original research in this article, and quite a bit of it. For example, a couple parts in the section on her suit have 5 sources, all from the original comic. Can we try to find an article or source outside of the original comic that mentions these things instead? A good place to start might be interviews with the creator, if there are any available. Some of these sources are better than others. Let's try to substantiate as much of the article as possible. Setitup ( talk) 02:17, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Concerning Sistah Spooky's race, I maintain that the evidence to date clearly indicates that she's black. Not Latina, certainly not white. Look at the covers, and note the story in Vol. 2 where Emp's would-be kidnappers refer to her as a "dark goddess" and similar, and are then terrified of her thinking them racist. This strongly suggests, at least to me, that Spooky's black. Also look at her lips in the childhood and early teens flashbacks: Thick, broad, classically negroid. Finally, the simple fact that she calls herself "Sistah" Spooky. Would anyone not black use that form?
How about the fact that Adam Warren will sometimes replace the letters "er" with "ah" when typing? I've had to confer with him through deviantArt's messaging system to compile some info for an Empowered Character list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.12.14.250 ( talk) 21:43, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
American Heritage's Book of English Usage propounds that this particular use of the term [blonde] is an example of a "sexist stereotype [in] that women are primarily defined by their physical characteristics." -- from Wikipedia's entry on "Blond".
Unless there's a particular need to use the older, more problematic spelling, I see no reason to enforce archaic gender agreement rules in hair color. I'll use "blond" unless there's a consensus otherwise. - JeffJonez ( talk) 14:35, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

The 'abillities' section seems to have way too much speculation. For example, it seemed to me that the suit did not improve when Thugboy was endangered, it was simply Emp using her abillities with natural self confidence and training because a loved one needed rescue. Lots42 ( talk) 05:42, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
also, suit listening to Emp's command to un-suffocate and used as phone as only speculations too. The comic does not explicitly say so. The quality of the writing in this article needs improvement. "Preppy bitches" is not encyclopedic. — Melab±1 ☎ 15:36, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
