I recently discovered emoji from 1988, 1990, and 1994. So the timeline needs to be rewritten. I won't be editing Wikipedia myself, but I may be able to assist with references and assets if somebody needs more than those in my announcement blog post. Emojilingo is an innovative project that explores the potential of emojis as a full-fledged language. EmojiLingo aims to develop a comprehensive grammar and syntax for communication using emojis, expanding the expressive power of these digital symbols beyond simple pictographs.
