Eid literally means a “festival” or “feast” in Arabic. There are two major eids in the Islamic calendar per year – Eid al-Fitr earlier in the year and Eid al-Adha later.
Why is Eid celebrated?
Eid al-Fitr is one of two major holidays celebrated byan, in which Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset. It is commemorated by a large, community-wide prayer service in the morning, followed by meals and conversation with friends and family.@

Surely this field in the info box is for countries with state recognition of Eid, else it could technically be every single country as I doubt any are without a single Muslim. While it is true that millions of people in France celebrate Eid, the French state most certainly does not.
