This article, and the one on the Permanent Force, is incorrect in one resepcet - conscripts were part of the Citizen Force, not the Permanent Force. The Permanent Force was composed of those who volunteered to join the military, either temporarily or as a career.
Conscription involved an initial fixed period, followed by "camps", i.e. short periods usually spent within a commando. Both types of service were within the Citizen Force. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.240.127.230 ( talk) 22:58, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
G'day, given that there is limited content on this page, I wonder if perhaps it should just be converted into a disambiguation page? The relevant information relating to each country's version of the CF could then fully be discussed at whatever article the dab page would point to. Does anyone have any concerns about this approach?
