This article has a separate article for the "album" because several tracks on the latter were not taken direct from the sound track itself. Might one suggest that this is VERY often the case - and that if we were to be consistent many (if not most) film sound track albums would be separate from primary article for the movie itself!!!!!
On the other hand someone might like to do an article on the stage musical. Soundofmusicals 22:02, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
This section doesn't cite any sources and appears more like original research. Words like 'butchiness' and 'Scarlet Woman' don't seem to fit the tone required for Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Calindreams ( talk • contribs) 11:17, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. The fact that it remains in a LGBT-Related Films category is very odd, as well as unsupported —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.108.196.190 ( talk) 04:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
The original 2008 section wasn't sourced at all. I've written one fresh from a couple of sources, and added the category back. -- Lord Belbury ( talk) 18:55, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
Is there any way to reference the obvious similarities of "Calamity Jane" to "Annie Get Your Gun"? Both movies deal with historical women, characterizing them as rather boisterous and depicting their aptitude for handling firearms as a threat to their male counterparts. Both storylines require the women to transform into the appearance favored by the male lead, in order to get accepted as a spouse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.6.4.218 ( talk) 19:21, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
