Removal of "does not cite any sources" and "stub" templates
I have translated several sections of the Japanese article into English and cited sources - however, those citations are taken from the Japanese version, I have not verified them myself and will not be able to. Is this sufficient for removing the "This article does not cite any sources" block? This is my first major edit and I am not confident to do this without a "peer review".

I'd say your additions to the article are reason enough to remove the maintenance tag (i have replaced it with
Template:More sources, as i also don't know if there is still unreferenced content). Assuming the editors over at the Japanese Wikipedia know what they wrote and cited, the references are probably fine. If you have concerns about a reference, there is a variety of
other maintenance tags related to verifiability. Happy editing,
