I evaluated the article against the B-scale. Here are some points for improvement:
References: At least one or two more references are needed, and the format may need to be corrected.
Coverage: This area is the most defficient at the present time. Some questions to think about:
Why was the design of the 10,000 bill changed?
What is the significance of the designs? Fukichi's role as philosopher and educator are mentioned briefly, but perhaps a sentence on how deeply he affected Japanese history might be helpful. Why does the government want to honor him?
Is the Phoenix Hall, or the phoenix statue especially pertinent to the history or religion of Japan? Or both?
Was there some controvery over having a religious structure on the legal currency?
What was the previous design?
When was a 10,000 yen note FIRST put into circulation? And why such a large denomination?
Structure: Article lacks seperate sections.
Supporting Material: This passes, because of the infobox and a photo of the observe of the bill. A photo of the reverse would be helpful, and to a lesser degree, photos of older bills no longer in circulation.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
