"太" isn't "ō", and "太刀" is pronounced "tachi". There's already an article: tachi.

I concur with the above. The combination of kanji "Ō" and "katana" is "大刀", but that is read "taitou"/"daitou" (often missread as "Daikatana", for which there is already an article: Daikatana (sword)). So, delete or merge with tachi? -- Hecko ( talk) 01:24, 28 June 2008 (UTC) reply
