The khutor is located 55 km (34 mi) from the Russia–Ukraine border, 33 km (21 mi) south-west of Kursk, 22 km (14 mi) north-west of the district center – the urban-type settlement Medvenka, 7 km (4.3 mi) from the selsoviet center – 1st Gostomlya. [9]
