The khutor is located 56 km (35 mi) from the Russia–Ukraine border, 32 km (20 mi) south-west of Kursk, 22 km (14 mi) north-west of the district center – the urban-type settlement Medvenka, 7 km (4.3 mi) from the selsoviet center – 1st Gostomlya. [9]
Domra has a warm-summer humid continental climate (Dfb in the Köppen climate classification).
