It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 908.4 square kilometers (350.7 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Dolgoye. [1] Population: 11,984 ( 2010 Census); [3] 14,187 ( 2002 Census); [7] 15,364 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Dolgoye accounts for 37.1% of the district's total population. [3]
