Aramu ( Persian: ارمو) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Aramu Rural District of the Central District of Darreh Shahr County, Ilam province, Iran. [4] The village is populated by Kurds. [5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,408 in 501 households. [6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,516 people in 619 households. [7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,383 people in 665 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
