American college football season
The 1979 Duke Blue Devils football team was an
American football team that represented
Duke University as a member of the
Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the
1979 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their first year under head coach
Shirley Wilson, the Blue Devils complied an overall record of 2–8–1, with a conference record of 0–6, and finished seventh in the ACC.
