Zardalan Rural District ( Persian: دهستان زردلان) is in Jazman District of Holeylan County, Ilam province, Iran. [3] Its capital is the village of Piazabad. [4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Holeylan District of Chardavol County) was 2,518 in 512 households. [5] There were 2,527 inhabitants in 590 households at the following census of 2011. [6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,514 in 650 households. The most populous of its 31 villages was Piazabad, with 389 people. [2]
In 2018, Holeylan District was separated from Chardavol County in the establishment of Holeylan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Towhid as its capital and only city. [3]
