Zarach District ( Persian: بخش زارچ) is a former administrative division of Yazd County, Yazd province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Zarach. [3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 15,236 in 927 households. [4] The following census in 2011 counted 18,557 people in 4,847 households. [5] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 20,786 inhabitants in 5,840 households. [2]

In February 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Zarach County, which was divided into two districts and three rural districts, with Zarach as its capital and only city. [6]
